Tension Shower Rod
The tension shower rod is used obviously to set up a shower
curtain in your bathroom. Since it is adjustable and does not need nails or screws to be fit, they are ideal for
shower use. Many bathrooms have ceramics all the way to the roof and the ceramic will be damaged if you set screws
or nails into it. These rods do their job perfectly without causing any damage to the walls.
It is easy to set up and anyone can do it with a simple chair
to stand on, if you do not have a small ladder. The first thing to do is to find the right height for the curtain.
Regulations say that the rod should be set in line with the bottom of the shower nozzle but common sense tells us
to set it a bit higher than that to avoid tall bathers getting the entire bathroom floor wet.
Now you should check if the rings on the shower curtain are
solid or if they are removable and snap-on. If they are solid it is time to put the curtain on the rod, if they are
snap-on let the curtain be and install the rod. The rod should be stretched snugly from one wall to the other. When
you have it, add a few millimeters before tightening the locking nut so the rod will be tight between the
walls.
They can also be used for temporary clothes hanging; all you do
is stretch them from one wall to the other of a room. They can also be used to hang a cloth in the middle of room
to divide it. They are also used in school classrooms to hang and dry projects that the children have done. Another
use people have found for them is for use in photography dark rooms, they are used to hang negatives and finished
pictures that are in the process of drying.
In the case of an emergency sleep over it has been known that
more than one shower rod has been used to hold up a blanket as a tent or a house. They have also been used to limbo
at parties and to hang wet women’s underwear inside the shower.
But don’t let your imagination take you too far away, all you
need to know is that your tension shower rod will in fact hold your shower curtain in place without any effort and
it will even accept a couple of wet towels drying on it too. They are strong but not that strong, so they are
designed for light work not to hold bodies or anything like that.
